Daniel Romanchuk is a four-time Paralympic medalist, six-time world major marathon winner and the youngest-ever winner of the Boston and New York marathon wheelchair divisions. He is passionate about encouraging the next generation to pursue excellence and integrity in sport.

PERSONAL BIOGRAPHY

Daniel was born with Spina bifida, and constantly played sports with his hometown Bennet Blazers Physically Challenged Sports Program. He competed in every track event at the 2016 Rio Paralympics, from the 100m to the 5,000m, and medaled at the 2020 and 2024 Games. Daniel entered his first marathon at age 14, and won the wheelchair division of the Chicago race in 2016. He is now a six-time world major marathon winner.

Daniel regularly returns to help coach the Bennett Blazers and inspire younger athletes, and he sponsors a young boy in Brazil through Compassion International to ensure he has a good education and family support.
