Sports Illustrated named her the Greatest Female Athlete of the 20th century and many consider her the G.O.A.T. not only of track and field, but of all female athletes, ever.

PROFESSIONAL BIOGRAPHY

Beyond athletics, Jackie is a dedicated philanthropist and advocate for children’s education, health, racial equality, social reform and women’s rights. The inaugural recipient of the Humanitarian Athlete of the Year award, she’s known globally for her efforts to help others.

In 2000, she founded the Jackie Joyner-Kersee Youth Center in East St. Louis. And in 2007, she co-founded Athletes for Hope, an organization centered on educating, inspiring and empowering athletes to engage in charitable causes and community service.
